Events planned around the world to help individuals and organizations experience coaching.
LEXINGTON, Ky., May 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Professional coaches around the globe are preparing to celebrate International Coaching Week (ICW) and the 20th anniversary of the International Coach Federation (ICF) during International Coaching Week (ICW), May 18–24, 2015.
The first ICW observance was organized in 1999 by ICF Master Certified Coach Jerri N. Udelson. ICW is intended to educate the public about the value of partnering with a professional coach and to acknowledge the results and progress made through the coaching process.
"ICF's vision is for coaching to become an integral part of society, resulting in humanity flourishing," ICF Professional Certified Coach and 2015 Global Board Chair Dave Wondra said. "ICW moves us closer to that goal by increasing awareness of professional coaching and helping individuals and organizations around the world experience its benefits firsthand."
ICF Global has published an interactive map that showcases ICW events around the world.
During ICW, ICF Global staff members and volunteers from ICF Central Florida will educate talent development professionals about coaching's personal and professional benefits by exhibiting at the ATD 2015 International Conference and Exposition, May 18–20, in Orlando, Florida, USA.
On May 19, ICF Global will premiere the final video in its award-winning Credential Legacy video series, which illustrates for coaches the benefits of pursuing an ICF Credential while educating consumers about the value an ICF-credentialed coach delivers. The video will feature ICF Associate Certified Coach and ICF Japan president Kentaro Hayashi.
ICF Global is also sponsoring a May 20 Human Capital Institute (HCI) webcast titled "Coaching Young Leaders." Presented by ICF Global Board Director Hilary Oliver, PCC, the webcast will be open to all HCI Community members.
Scheduled ICF Chapter events and celebrations include:
- "Inspiring Coaching: The Next 20 Years," a daylong conference hosted by ICF United Kingdom to celebrate ICF's 20th anniversary while looking ahead to 2035 and what it may hold for the coaching industry and for humanity
