FREMONT, Calif., Dec. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Procera Networks, Inc., the global Subscriber Experience Company, today announced that PacketLogic/V has successfully participated in the New IP Agency's (NIA) NFV-VNF Interoperability Evaluation Phase 1 testing. This testing is the first independent interoperability evaluation of NFV infrastructure, focused on multi-vendor NFV infrastructure-to-virtual network function (VNF) interoperability.
"Interoperability is critical to create a viable, open market for service providers to choose the best NFV solutions," said Carsten Rossenhoevel, Managing Director, EANTC. "Our report includes detailed insight into the state-of-the-art of multi-vendor NFV. Procera has demonstrated continuous commitment to public NFV interoperability and performance testing; the PacketLogic/V integrated smoothly with participating NFVis."
"NFVi and VNF interoperability is a critical aspect of moving NFV from the lab into deployment," said Alexander Haväng, CTO for Procera. "Procera's participation in this testing demonstrates our commitment to accelerating the movement to deployable NFV solutions for network operators."
The Phase 1 testing included 12 vendors, with four NFVi platforms and 17 VNFs participating in the testing. The initial testing focused on functional interoperability of NFVi and various VNF systems. Procera successfully completed NFVi on-boarding and demonstrated interoperability as shown in the test report available at http://www.lightreading.com.
