Proactivity the Name of the Game as MIPIM Exhibitors Present Projects & Content
PARIS, Feb. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Key MIPIM exhibitors are bringing new content and services to their stands, as they proactively seek to market their projects and regions in new ways.
Four major exhibitors, Paris Region, London, ULI and Gateway Netherlands, will add on-stand conferences to their traditional project presentations.
As Andrew Stokes, Chief Executive of Marketing Manchester, says in Insider Property*: "The stand events are a crucial element of the activity undertaken during MIPIM week. They attract a significant number of delegates to the stand and provide an opportunity to showcase the latest developments taking place in the city."
"It has become clear that exhibitors are combining project with market study presentations, on-stand conferences and debates. The idea is to go beyond simply showcasing a model of a project and instead to provide all the relevant arguments and research background needed by potential partners and investors," says Filippo Rean, Director of MIPIM.
This is true for the French participants, who will be extremely active throughout the MIPIM. The 22 "Paris Region" partners are holding more than 30 conferences in the Marina Hall exhibition area to showcase the diversity of property on offer in the Ile-de-France region. They will focus on flagship projects currently under development such as the Ile Seguin, the Grand Roissy airport hub, the "Start" restructuring project in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, the "Greater Paris" project, the Louvres-Puiseux and Clichy Batignolles eco-neighbourhoods, and the Plaine Commune and Val d'Oise developments.
As the United Kingdom is Country of Honour for this 22nd MIPIM, British players will be centre stage throughout the event. The London stand will feature a cycle of conferences introducing the city's major urban redevelopment projects such as the Nine Elms, Earls Court, and King's Cross neighbourhoods and showcasing the site for the Olympic and Paralympics Games, and the Stratford City project. There will also be forums on such topics as urban development, the housing market and the future of urban real estate. The presence of Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, who will inaugurate MIPIM and then open the London stand on the 8th of March, and Lord Mayor of the City of London Alderman Michael Bear, will be among the highlights of this programme.
On the Dutch stand, attendees will have an opportunity to benefit from a rich programme entitled 'Gateway Netherlands'. Organised in partnership with the Vastgoedmarkt, Property EU and Real Estate Publishers property trade publications, there are four conferences on the agenda, reviewing market forces and giving a Dutch view of the European property sector. Topics such as investment, cities and architecture will be featured in a special space in the exhibition area. A 150 sq. m. stand nearby will feature leading international market experts such as ING REIM Europe and ING Real Estate Finance, Multi Corporation BV, AM BV Fakton, the cities of Amsterdam (showcasing the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area: Zuidas), Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and more.
ULI Germany (Urban Land Institute) will hold several sessions on sustainable development as illustrated by Hamburg and Nuremberg. The association will also provide a series of geographic close-ups on France, the Russian Federation, Italy and Germany, as well as conferences on investment.
A programme of MIPIM conferences and events will soon be available at www.mipim.com
