Pro Gaming League Hosts Flawless Halo Championship Series to Send Evil Geniuses to the Grand Final
SAN FRANCISCO, July 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Pro Gaming League (PGL) Indianapolis Halo 2 Anniversary tournament concluded last weekend at the Indy Popcon with Team Evil Geniuses taking home the top prize of $20,000, and the chance to compete in the Grand Final of Season 2 later this month.

The event featured some of the best Halo players in the world competing for $50,000. PGL partnered with 343 Industries (343i) and Twitch.tv to host one of the most successful Halo Championship Series (HCS) tournaments to date.
The tournament was attended by hundreds of fans and was broadcast live via www.Twitch.tv/Halo with more than 14,000 concurrent people tuning in and thousands more following the event on social media.
The HCS, which is centered around Halo, the Xbox hit franchise, featured a mix of online and in-person LAN tournaments. The Pro Gaming League HCS event consisted of a 48 team bracket of competitive video gamers including the top eight Halo Pro Teams in the world.

The finals are scheduled for July 24-26 at the ESL Studios in Burbank, California, with a prize pool of $150,000 dollars.
