NEW YORK, Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) announces the availability of applications for the 36th annual Princess Grace Awards in Theater (Playwriting, Directing, Acting, and Design), Dance (Performance and Choreography), and Film (including the Stephen Hillenburg Animation Scholarship). Founded in 1982, in memory of Princess Grace (Kelly) of Monaco, the Foundation identifies and assists emerging artists in theater, dance and film and has awarded nearly $16 million to more than 800 individuals nationwide. www.pgfusa.org.

Theater Scholarships, apprenticeships, and fellowships are available through a nomination process for individuals affiliated with non-profit schools and theater companies. Nominations for theater grants are invited from the artistic directors of theater companies and deans or department chairs of professional schools in theater. Grants are awarded to actors, directors, and costume, set, sound, projection, and lighting designers.
Please note, grants are not currently available for composers, lyricists, dramaturgs, managers, music directors, or producers/producing directors; self-nominations by an artist are not accepted; and an organization or school may submit only one nominee per category (scholarship, apprenticeship or fellowship outlined in the guidelines). Playwriting Fellowship is offered annually to an individual playwright, including a residency at New Dramatists and opportunity for winning play to be licensed and published by Samuel French, Inc. APPLICATION WINDOW: February 15 - March 15, 2019.

Dance Performance Scholarships and fellowships are available through a nomination process for individuals affiliated with non-profit schools and dance companies. Nominations for dance performance grants are invited from the artistic directors of dance companies and deans or department chairs of professional schools in dance.
Please note, self-nominations by an artist are not accepted; an organization or school may submit only one nominee per category (scholarship or fellowship outlined in the guidelines). DEADLINE: April 30, 2019.
Dance Guidelines & Application
Choreography Fellowships are available through a nomination process for individuals affiliated with non-profit dance companies or organizations. Nominations for choreography fellowships are invited from the artistic directors of professional dance companies and directors of organizations/festivals hosting residencies for emerging choreographers that culminate in a public performance. University residencies are not eligible.
Please note, a company/festival may submit only one nominee; self-nominations by an artist are not accepted; and an organization may submit only one nominee as outlined in the guidelines. DEADLINE: April 30, 2019.
Choreography Guidelines & Application
Film Scholarships are available through a nomination process for students enrolled in university undergraduate or graduate film programs. Nominations for film scholarships are invited from deans or department chairs of approved film programs. (Open to select film schools by invitation only)
Please note, a school may only submit one undergraduate and one graduate student for a Film Scholarship, separately from (and in addition to) the Stephen Hillenburg Animation Scholarship. DEADLINE: May 31, 2019.
Animation PGF-USA is pleased to offer the Stephen Hillenburg Animation Scholarship* available through a nomination process for students enrolled in university undergraduate or graduate animation programs. Nominations for the Stephen Hillenburg Animation Scholarship are invited from deans or department chairs of approved animation programs. (Open to select schools by invitation only)
Schools invited to apply may nominate one undergraduate and one graduate student for a Stephen Hillenburg Animation Scholarship separately from (and in addition to) the Princess Grace Film Scholarship.
