Prime Therapeutics' Patrick Gleason receives Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Spirit of Volunteerism Award

ST. PAUL, Minn., April 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Patrick Gleason, Pharm.D., director of health outcomes at Prime Therapeutics LLC (Prime), has been awarded the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Spirit of Volunteerism Award for 2014. Dr. Gleason accepted the award on April 2 at the Annual Awards Dinner during its 26^th Annual Meeting and Expo in Tampa, Fla. The annual awards ceremony recognizes outstanding members for their significant contributions to managed care pharmacy and the organization.

The AMCP Spirit of Volunteerism Award, established in 1994, recognizes a current AMCP committee member who has demonstrated exemplary and outstanding service to AMCP over the past year and who has provided volunteer activities that resulted in successful and/or high-quality AMCP programs, projects or services for its members.

As chair and a long time member of the Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy Editorial Advisory Board, Dr. Gleason has helped make the Journal a premier managed care pharmacy information resource. Specifically, Dr. Gleason authored 15 scientific articles for the Journal, two of which received the AMCP Award for Excellence.
