Prime Therapeutics Hires Peter Wickersham, Senior Vice President Cost of Care
ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Prime Therapeutics (Prime) announces that it has hired Peter Wickersham as Senior Vice President - Cost of Care.
Wickersham will manage Prime's Clinical and Pharmacy Trade Relations teams and lead Prime's efforts to integrate medical and pharmacy. In this role, he will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of clinical and contracting to deliver breakthrough results for Prime and its clients.

Wickersham brings a wealth of experience in many aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently he served as Vice President of Operations at CIGNA Pharmacy Management, where he oversaw all implementation and operational aspects of CIGNA's commercial and Medicare business. Previous roles included Principal consultant in Mercer's pharmacy practice working with a variety of employers and public clients, and Vice President of Manufacturer Relations and Product Development for Aetna, Inc., where he successfully negotiated contractual agreements with a number of pharmaceutical manufacturers and drug wholesalers.
While at Merck & Co., in addition to negotiating contractual agreements with a number of HMOs and PBMs, Wickersham also led numerous quantitative analysis projects targeting managed care segments and was a key contributor to the development of various information systems projects that supported Merck's clinical sciences and product development. Wickersham also holds masters degrees in applied statistics, nuclear science and engineering, as well as management.
