Prime Therapeutics earns No. 1 ranking in Inc. Hire Power Award for job creation in Minnesota
ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Prime Therapeutics (Prime), a leading pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), captured the No. 1 spot among the top 10 private business job creators within Minnesota in the inaugural class of Inc. Hire Power Awards honorees. The Hire Power Awards recognize private businesses that have generated the most jobs in the past three years.
With its creation of 533 jobs from 2008 to 2011, Prime also ranked No. 7 in the top 10 private job creators in the health industry and No. 34 in the top 100 companies nationwide for job creation.
"Health care is a dynamic industry, which has provided the growth opportunity for Prime," said Eric Elliott, president and CEO of Prime. "It's the expertise and dedication of our people that has allowed us to realize that opportunity, while staying focused on helping people get the medicine they need to feel better and live well."
The inaugural Inc. Hire Power Awards are sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, which recognizes American companies that have greatly increased their workforces. Inc.'s Hire Power Awards celebrates private companies on the forefront of American job creation.
"The top 100 companies on the list have created 73,032 American jobs in the three-year period from 2008 to 2011 – an amazing feat, given that much of that job growth came during the heart of the recession," explains Inc. editor-in-chief Eric Schurenberg. "And, it isn't just the big guys that are adding jobs. Companies with less than $50 million in annual revenue make up nearly one-third of the Hire Power list."
The Hire Power Awards will appear in Inc.'s December/January issue, as well as the brand's website, www.inc.com.
