WESTWOOD, Mass., Oct. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- David Rosenberg and Matt McGovern, owners of Prime Motor Group, have announced plans for a major expansion in Westwood and on the South Shore.

THREE LUXURY BRAND DEALERSHIPS TO BE BUILT SIDE-BY-SIDE IN WESTWOOD
On Thursday, October 1, Prime will break ground at 411 Providence Highway in Westwood to build three all-new Acura, Audi and Porsche luxury dealerships. Totaling more than 120,000 square feet of space situated on 12 acres of land along Route 1, the expansion represents an investment of $40 million. The side-by-side dealerships will be situated directly adjacent to Prime's award-winning Mercedes-Benz of Westwood dealership.
Every aspect of the new facilities will reflect brand luxury with high-end finishes and exclusive, image-appropriate architecture. Each dealership will feature a full service Cafe, meticulously designed lounge areas, Indoor Service Drives, full Wi-Fi accessibility and select Quiet Areas for customers who may wish to work while having their vehicles serviced. The combined dealerships will offer a total of 70 service bays for the utmost in automotive care. A fleet of complimentary loaner vehicles will be available for the use of service customers.
When they open in July of 2016, the new dealerships will incorporate Prime's existing Acura, Audi and Porsche staff and client base. The expansion will add approximately 25 new jobs to the three dealerships, bringing the total number of employees -- between sales, administration and the service department -- to 180.
Prime CEO David Rosenberg said, "We opened our original Audi and Porsche dealerships in Westwood and our Acura dealership in Walpole in 2007. Over the past eight years we've grown and improved the operations significantly. Quite simply, we need more space to better serve our customers. The timing was right and the town of Westwood has been extraordinary to work with as we've developed our plans."
Prime Vice-President Matt McGovern added, "By having Acura, Audi and Porsche immediately next door to our existing Mercedes-Benz dealership, customers in search of a luxury vehicle will have four outstanding brands to explore, all in easy walking distance of each other. We are creating one of the few settings in the country to offer customers the opportunity to test drive and compare multiple brands of luxury vehicles at one convenient destination."
ROCKLAND HYUNDAI CONTINUES PRIME'S EXPANSION ON THE SOUTH SHORE
On Friday, October 2, Prime will break ground at 1020 Hingham Street in Rockland for its all new, state-of-the-art Hyundai dealership. Located directly on Route 228 immediately adjacent to Exit 14 on Route 3, the Hyundai dealership will feature 27,000 square feet of sales and service space representing a local investment of $10 million. The facility will be one of the first in the country to reflect the new Hyundai image. The dealership will operate with a staff of 50 people when it opens in May of 2016.
Commenting on the Rockland expansion, David Rosenberg said, "For the past two years we've been looking for an exceptional South Shore location for a new Hyundai dealership. We first opened Hyundai in Quincy in 2012 and while we loved being there, the footprint of the facility was extremely limited and couldn't be expanded upon. From the customer's perspective, we felt we needed to be more accessible, and Rockland delivers that beautifully as we'll be situated right off Route 3. We'll also have far more room both for customer parking and additional inventory to better serve the local communities."
Designed for the ultimate in customer comfort, the new showroom will be fully Wi-Fi accessible. Additionally, customer-specific Waiting Areas will be available, including a Family Waiting Room, a dedicated Children's Area (offering books, videos and a wide-screen television,) and a Quiet Room for those who may want to catch up on work. An Inside Service Drive will allow customers to avoid inclement weather when they drop off their vehicle for maintenance.
When the Hyundai dealership opens in Rockland, Prime Motor Group will represent five auto brands within a concentrated area of the South Shore.
Rosenberg said, "Within the space of two highway exits we'll have dealerships for Infiniti, GMC-Buick and Mercedes-Benz in Hanover, and now Hyundai in Rockland."
"This just demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering South Shore customers affordable car-buying options at all price points. Over the past three years, Prime has been very warmly welcomed on the South Shore. We project the same enthusiasm for Hyundai in Rockland."
Matt McGovern added, "Finding the ideal dealership space that checks all the boxes can be a challenge. Working with the Town of Rockland could not have been a more positive experience for us. Both the Planning and Zoning Boards have been extremely supportive throughout the process. We know Prime has found a great new home in Rockland and we look forward to becoming an integral part of the community."
A DEDICATION TO METICULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE
Purchasing a car is a major investment and a big decision for most people. From its beginnings as a family operated business, Prime Motor Group has differentiated itself through meticulous customer service.
Two years ago Prime established a commitment to "A New Kind of Car Buying Experience" – establishing a transparent sales process that eliminates gimmicks and fine print to provide customers with full access to market data and third party research from such trusted industry leaders as Edmunds and Autotrader. With no sales pressure, the market information is shared with customers upfront to make the process of purchasing a vehicle a faster, more enjoyable and more reliable experience.
David Rosenberg has been involved in the auto industry since he was 8 years old, clearing snow from the windshields of vehicles on a used car lot owned by his father, auto industry legend Ira Rosenberg. The senior Mr. Rosenberg remains actively involved in Prime's Maine dealerships and continues to act as their spokesman in that market.
