Zoe Borys, Dan Hammond join PRG in senior business development roles
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Production Resource Group LLC (PRG), the partner of choice for the world's leading creative talents in the entertainment field, has announced the addition of industry veterans Zoe Borys and Dan Hammond to the PRG team. Borys will serve as Senior Account Executive for Business Development, with responsibility for developing opportunities for the wide spectrum of PRG entertainment solutions in the feature film, television and commercial market segments in Canada and in the eastern United States. Hammond, in his new role as Senior Account Executive and Business Development, will serve in the same capacity for the western U.S., including Hollywood.
"The addition of Zoe and Dan is an important step in the continued expansion of PRG's services and reach," says Brian Edwards, CEO, Television and General Manager of PRG. "Both Zoe and Dan bring a strong personal relationships among key creatives in the motion picture business, and deep insight into their needs and working methods. PRG's unparalleled technical prowess, inventory and problem-solving acumen, along with Zoe and Dan's experience and expertise, make for an unbeatable combination."
Known for bridging technology and talent, Borys brings to her work more than 20 years of trusted partnership with the cinematic community. Prior to joining PRG, she was General Manager at Fletcher Camera & Lenses during that company's national expansion, and oversaw Fletcher's service to groundbreaking, complex productions like Public Enemies and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Her resume also includes respected stints as account executive for industry stalwarts like Panavision and Eastman Kodak, as well as studio manager for Chapman Cranes and Dollies in Orlando, Florida. She is an associate member of the ASC (American Society of Cinematographers), an invitation-only organization for industry professionals who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the craft of cinematography.
Hammond's three decades of experience at the nexus of technology and creativity is similarly impressive. Working closely with many of Hollywood's top storytellers, he uses his broad knowledge in image capture to help filmmakers realize their vision. Prior to joining PRG, Hammond worked Cineverse/VER, connecting filmmakers with resources to facilitate a wide range of productions. Previously, he was Director of Cinema Technical Services at Doremi Labs, where he was responsible for directing a global team providing technical support and training programs to digital cinema exhibition companies and post production facilities, and supporting a major expansion of the company's global footprint. That role followed a 19-year tenure at Panavision in a variety of roles, always connecting motion picture imaging tools with cinematic storytellers. Hammond was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Columbia College in 1996 and holds memberships in the International 3D Society, Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Association of Independent Commercial Producers.
"I'm very pleased to join forces with PRG," says Hammond. "From concept through execution, PRG has no equal when it comes to groundbreaking creativity in lighting and stage production. There's so much innovation being driven by PRG's worldwide operations, and our job will be to put that technology into the hands of today's filmmakers as they create their stories. We can't wait to see what the future holds."
Borys says, "In our business, it takes a team of creative and technical professionals working together to make a film. That's what I find most compelling about PRG—the team here understands the collaborative creative process, and how to support that process with precision and efficiency. I'm thrilled to be part of the PRG team."
