The Prevention R3 Summit will commence with a welcome reception on Friday, October 25th from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. at Austin's Long Center for Performing Arts, with an exclusive film screening of the documentary, GMO OMG. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Jeremy Seifert, the film's director, writer, and editor; Robyn O'Brien, food activist and founder of AllergyKids; Errol Schweizer, Executive Global Grocery Coordinator, Whole Foods; and Arran Stephens, CEO of Nature's Path.
From 8:30 a.m. – 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th, attendees will enjoy a day of health and wellness programming at the Long Center led by key Prevention contributors, national health and wellness experts, local chefs and many more to encourage participants to revive their lifestyle through fun and education.
Oscar-award winning actress, author, and lifestyle expert, Mariel Hemingway, will open the event with an intimate on-stage interview with celebrated psychologist, Dr. Gail Saltz, entitled Refresh, Revive, and ReInvent After 40.
Notable main stage programming includes The Future of Food, featuring a panel discussion with Robyn O'Brien; The Beekman Boys, Founders, Beekman 1802, authors, and stars of Cooking Channel's The Fabulous Beekman Boys; Ken Whitman, President, Natural Vitality; and Addie Broyles, Food Editor, Austin American-Statesman.
