Prestigious Ohio Star Ball Features AdMeTech Foundation's Dance for the Cure of Prostate Cancer
ABC's Dancing with the Stars Celebrity to Present Awards

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 18, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ohio Star Ball, the world's largest and one of the world's most prestigious ballroom dancing competitions, will feature Dance for the Cure of Prostate Cancer Tuesday, November 16 through Sunday, November 21, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Dance for the Cure of Prostate Cancer is a national public awareness and fundraising campaign, with the mission to improve early detection of prostate cancer and to end the prostate cancer crisis. On Thursday, November 18, Ohio Star Ball's organizer Sam Sodano will present Dance for the Cure of Prostate Cancer Championships in the American Ballroom style. The awards will be presented by Jonathan Roberts of ABC's megahit TV show Dancing with the Stars.
Created by AdMeTech Foundation with support from a wide network of dance organizations, including Arthur Murray International, Dance for the Cure of Prostate Cancer is modeled after Race for the Cure of Breast Cancer, which resulted in the development of advanced, life-saving mammography. The goal of Dance for the Cure is to recognize prostate cancer as a national priority similar to breast cancer, and to increase public and private research funding for the development of the Manogram™: life-saving imaging for men.
WHO:
Jonathan Roberts, a celebrity and a professional dancer on the ABC 's megahit show Dancing with the Stars. Mr. Roberts is a U.S. and World Champion of American Ballroom dancing and is the spouse and professional partner of Anna Trebunskaya, who is also a professional cast member of ABC's Dancing with the Stars, and who appeared on this season's show with the football Hall of Fame's Kurt Warner.
Sam Sodano is one of the key leaders of the dancing community, currently best known as the organizer of the Ohio Star Ball. He is a former North American Latin Champion. Mr. Sodano is chairman of the Arthur Murray International Dance Board, an adjudicator and lecturer, and a very active and dedicated coach at his own dance studio in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr Faina Shtern is the President of the AdMeTech Foundation and former Chief of Diagnostic Imaging at the National Cancer Institute, where in the 1990s she provided leadership for the development and implementation of the advanced breast cancer imaging technologies currently accepted as "the state-of-the-art" care.
