President of Trojan Technologies, Inc., Marvin R. DeVries to be the Keynote Speaker at IUVA 2014 Americas Regional Conference
WASHINGTON, July 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2014 International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) Americas Regional Conference, which will be held Oct. 26-28, 2014, in White Plains, N.Y., will host leading experts in the field of ultraviolet technology. Included among the conference leadership will be Marvin R. DeVries, CEO, Trojan Technologies, Inc., and Paul V. Rush Deputy Commissioner, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Water Supply.
The Americans Regional Conference will discuss new trends in UV Technology. "We are very honored to have both Marvin DeVries and Paul Rush as our keynote speakers," says Deb Martinez, executive director of IUVA.
DeVries, who was appointed president of Trojan Technologies in 2003, specializes in water and wastewater treatment. As a Professional Engineer, DeVries has worked on water-related and infrastructure development projects in Southern Asia and Haiti.

Joining DeVries as keynote speaker is Deputy Commissioner for the New York Department of Environmental Protection, Paul V. Rush. Rush heads the effort to maintain safe and clean water for the city of New York. The Catskill-Delaware Ultraviolet Disinfection facility, which Rush oversees, delivers over 2 billion gallons of high-quality drinking water daily, and as such is by far the world's largest ultraviolet disinfection facility in the world.
