Keynote: Devaluing Attack: Disincentivizing Threats Against the Next Billion Devices
While the traditional approach to defense against cyber attacks is to raise the cost for attackers by making the attacks as difficult as possible, the more scalable strategy is to reduce the value to the attacker of a successful attack. What does this look like? Dino will examine the phases of an intrusion common to both financially-motivated and state-sponsored attackers, as well as what this strategy means for security threats against the next billion devices.
Dino Dai Zovi will take the keynote stage the morning of March 31, 2016. To read more about his presentation as well as the full schedule of selected Black Hat Briefings, visit: blackhat.com/asia-16/briefings.html.
