Premonitions and Grief: A Story of Motherhood
Debut Author Explores Spiritual Visions and the Power of Motherhood in Poignant, New Memoir
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- In her touching memoir, "A Cross by the Road: Memoir of a Death Foretold" (published by iUniverse), debut author and grieving mother Jane Quint finally shares her moving story of a terrifying dream that foretold the accidental death of her son and her profound journey through grief after he is taken from her.
When Quint's beloved son died in a freak accident as her dream predicted, she was understandably riddled with guilt at not having understood the premonitions that could have saved his life. Although the scene of the accident mirrored the dream, the family still wondered why it had happened. Consequently, they hired an accident-reconstruction engineering firm to determine the cause, but their detailed report only left them more unanswered questions.
How could such innocence be destroyed? How could a man in the prime of his life -- recently promoted at work, newly married, about to move into a new home and start a family -- be taken from them? Devastated, Quint knew that her only relief would come from understanding her vision of his death. However, as the years passed, there seemed to be no resolution to her grief -- that is, until she began to write this story. Although initially driven to understand the premonitions that plagued her conscience, it was her need to remember the joyful days of her son's life that enabled her to see things from a different perspective, which ultimately led her to finally find spiritual meaning in her experience. Although she learned that grief never really ends, she also learned that love never ends either and that there is a life after death where your children await you.
Whether you're grief-stricken with the loss of a loved one or a mother who cares deeply about a child or simply an interested reader who questions the nature of reality, fate, reincarnation and life after death, you'll undoubtedly find the heartfelt answers you're searching for in Quint's "A Cross by the Road," a book as emotionally powerful as it is spiritually insightful.
