Premium Clinical Research Ultrasound System Introduced at IEEE Ultrasound Symposium
BOTHELL, Wash., Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Alpinion Medical Systems, a leader in the development of diagnostic ultrasound, transducers, and HIFU, unveiled its innovative E-CUBE 12R clinical research platform at the 2014 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (Booth #413) in Chicago from September 3-6.
Featuring advanced software beamforming technology and a frame rate of over nine thousand frames per second, the E-CUBE 12R can acquire high-resolution raw (pre-beamformed) RF data in real-time, flexible Python sequence programming, capability to generate arbitrary waveform, wide range of transmit/receive control parameters, offering users endless potential for research and clinical applications.
"With our E-CUBE 12R platform researchers have the flexibility and software customization they demand, without having to build their own research platform from the ground up," says Seokbin Ko, President and CEO of Alpinion Medical Systems. "We believe this research platform will support users, opening up new research opportunities and creating more valuable translational studies, bridging the gap from research to the commercialization of clinical applications. We are also pursuing early access to academic institutions for licensing new clinical applications to address unmet medical needs"
Alpinion's latest research platform with clinical scanning capabilities (FDA 510K in progress) features:
- Open software based platform allows researchers to manipulate the sequence program
- Innovative beamforming technology provides RF channel data access in real-time, without the need for additional hardware
- Freely process and reconstruct the pre-beamformed and post-beamformed non-decimated pixel RF data in the system environment
- Highly customizable sequence programmability allows researchers to manipulate all parameters, including transmit level, receive level, transducer settings and more
- Arbitrary transmission waveform generation
- Multi-live mode allows two different modes to be displayed side-by-side in real-time
- Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) controls
