INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Premier Capital Corporation, a non-profit Certified Development Company (CDC) headquartered in Indianapolis, recently awarded Lender of the Year and 504 Champion honors during its annual recognition event.

 The honorees worked with Premier Capital on Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 approved projects during 2016.  The SBA 504 loan program provides permanent financing to eligible businesses for the purchase, renovation or expansion of owner-occupied commercial real estate and large equipment.

Among those honored were:

Centier Bank, Lafayette, was honored as a Lender of the Year for partnering with Premier Capital on one transaction totaling $13.9 million.

First Federal Savings Bank, Ft. Wayne, was honored as a Lender of the Year for partnering with Premier Capital on four transactions totaling $9.8 million.

First Financial Bank, Indianapolis, was honored as a Lender of the Year for partnering with Premier Capital on four transactions totaling $3.4 million.

Dan Peter, Centier Bank, Lafayette, was honored as 504 Champion the largest single transaction of the year: $13.9 million.

Tom Mills, First Federal Savings Bank, Ft. Wayne, was also honored as a 504 Champion for the greatest number of transactions during 2015:  three transactions totaling $9.5 million.

Kent Bierma, Demotte State Bank, Demotte, was recognized as a 504 Champion for the greatest number of transactions during 2016; three transactions totaling $1.3 million.

One mission of the SBA 504 program is to create jobs.  Last year Premier Capital approved 56 SBA 504 loans totaling approximately $40 million supporting total projects of $112 million, making it a top tier SBA 504 lender in the nation and the number one lender in Indiana.  Premier Capital estimates that the small businesses that received SBA 504 loans will create or retain nearly 500 jobs in Indiana during the next two years.
