Premier Basketball League Brings on Nationally Renowned Vice President of Player Development
CHICAGO, July 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Premier Basketball League (PBL), leader of professional basketball in America, announced Mike Procopio as its new Vice President of Player Development. This isn't Procopio's first venture in professional basketball. Kobe Bryant has referred to Mike Procopio as his "Jack Bauer."
In his role for ATTACK Athletics located in Chicago, one of the nation's premier stomping grounds for professional basketball player development, Mike is in charge of all NBA, Pre-draft, and grassroots workouts. Mike has worked with players such as Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Durant, Devin Harris, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Tracy McGrady, Gilbert Arenas, Mike Finley, and over 150 other NBA players. Mike is renowned for his work serving as Kobe Bryant's Strategic Game Management Coach in the 2009 and 2010 playoffs. He also served as an assistant coach for the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League.
This is yet another great addition to the PBL Management Team. "Mike will not be sitting at a desk and instead will be traveling and visiting with all PBL Teams to share his knowledge and expertise in the development of future NBA players," commented PBL President & Chief Executive Officer Brij Desai.
