RADNOR, Pa., July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Preferred Sands, one of the leading frac sand and coated proppant companies in North America, is pleased to announce the addition of Christian Rheault to their executive management team as President of Preferred Sands.

In this new role, Christian will act as a strategic leader responsible for creating an infrastructure which will lead to the successful implementation of business wide processes. Christian will play a key role in providing guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out these major plans, which will lead to increased profitability across the organization.

Christian began his career with IBM Canada, where he was hired as a fast-track, high-potential performer, who progressed quickly through IBM's Engineering and Management Training Program. In 1999, Christian joined Kulicke & Soffa, a S&P 600 firm specialized in semiconductors, where he gained additional diverse experience in the area of sales and marketing. In 2009, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations and moved to the Singapore headquarter location. In this position, Christian served as a senior business and operations executive with ultimate P&L responsibility of approximately $700 million per year. During his time as SVP of Business Operations, Kulicke & Soffa achieved #1 market share position in the industry; the company increased its customer base by 200%, and Christian led multiple mergers and acquisition activities. Christian holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Laval (Quebec, Canada), Diploma in Administration from University de Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada) and attended Stanford Law School Director's College.
