Preferred Care Partners Announces Benefits for 2012

MIAMI, Oct. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Preferred Care Partners, one of the fastest growing Medicare Advantage plans in Florida, has announced its 2012 benefits.  All plans were released to the market on October 1, 2011.  This year, Medicare beneficiaries in Central Florida interested in joining Preferred Care Partners may sign up October 15, 2011 through December 7, 2011.  Coverage begins on January 1, 2012.  In addition, in 2012 Preferred Care Partners expands its geographic coverage from eight to fifteen counties adding Hernando, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Polk, Seminole and Volusia counties.  The health plan also covers Lake, Sumter, Marion, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Miami-Dade and Broward Counties in Florida.

"This year, Medicare beneficiaries need to be aware of an important change in the time that they are allotted to compare and enroll into their plan of choice," commented Joseph L. Caruncho, Chief Executive Officer of Preferred Care Partners.  "Medicare Beneficiaries must choose their Medicare Advantage Plan for 2012 during the Annual Election Period which this year falls between October 15 through December 7, 2011. Beginning January 1, 2012, Medicare beneficiaries will not be able to switch Medicare Advantage plans. Only beneficiaries who meet certain eligibility requirements will be exempt from this new rule."

Preferred Care Partners' 2012 Medicare Advantage plans that will be available in Central Florida, will offer all of the benefits of original Medicare plus a robust offering that may include: up to a $75 monthly Part B Premium return; $0 copay for primary care physician visits; $0 co-pay for generic prescription drugs; Prescription Drug Coverage through the Gap and a comprehensive dental benefit coverage that includes coverage for dentures.
