Predator Nutrition Announce Hat-Trick of Sponsorship Deals
BRADFORD, England, July 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
The founder of Predator Nutrition, Europe's leading sports supplements retailer and distributor, is celebrating a unique triple coup after announcing sponsorship deals with three sporting organisations.
Reggie Johal has confirmed that the Leeds-based company, who specialise in everything from protein powderto pre-workout and post-workout products, has become the official supplement and nutritional partner for the Cambridge University ice hockey club, the Dewsbury Rams and the Hunslet Hawks rugby league sides.
Johal, a former Great Britain American football player, hopes that the link-up will greatly enhance how the trio of clubs fare in their respective sports with the help and guidance of Predator Nutrition's team of experts.
"I'm delighted to reveal Predator Nutrition's latest partnerships with not one, not two, but three sports clubs," said Johal.
"With greater emphasis being placed on the importance of supplements and nutritional products in sport, we welcome the chance to offer advice and assistance as a leading light in the industry.
"Ice hockey and rugby league are both incredibly demanding and draining sports, both physically and mentally, so everyone at Predator Nutrition is looking forward to working closely with the coaches, players and officials at Cambridge University, Dewsbury Rams and Hunslet Hawks to ensure that these athletes are competing at their optimum performance levels and hopefully that will help them challenge for silverware in the future."
Cambridge University ice hockey club is widely regarded as one of the oldest ice hockey teams in the world and is made up of three sides, Cambridge Blues, Cambridge Women's Blues and Cambridge Eskimos. The rivalry between Cambridge Blues, the men's first team, and their Oxford counterparts is the oldest rivalry in the sport's history.
Taylor Burns captained Cambridge Blues to a 5-1 Varsity success over Oxford back in March and head coach Bill Harris is relishing the start of the new season later this year after adding Predator Nutrition to the club's extended roster.
Harris said: "I think I speak on behalf of all us at Cambridge University ice hockey club when I say that we're really excited to secure a sponsorship deal with such a prestigious company like Predator Nutrition.
"Long gone are the days when ice hockey players just turn up to training or to a big game and go out on the rink without properly preparing themselves first and that means fuelling the body in the right way. This is where the wide range of products supplied by Predator Nutrition will come into play and I have high hopes for the season ahead."
Dewsbury Rams and Hunslet Hawks, meanwhile, both ply their trade in the Co-operative Championship along with local rivals and last season's champions Halifax, who also have a similar sponsorship deal with Predator Nutrition and will compete with Leigh Centurions in the Northern Rail Cup final later this month.
