PRC Call Center Employees Exceed First Quarter Community Service Goals
Volunteers Log More than 308 Hours toward Annual Goal of 1,000 in First Three Months; Provide Much-Needed Support to Local Organizations through PRC Community Care Program
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- PRC, LLC (www.prcnet.com), a premier provider of outsourced customer contact management services, announced today that employees at the Colorado Springs facility have logged more than 308 hours of volunteer service with local nonprofit organizations in just the first three months of the year. Employees pledged to contribute 1,000 hours in 2010, and this tally puts the company well ahead of its goal, a fact that has local service organizations both excited and grateful for the extra help.
"When we pledged 1,000 hours as part of our third anniversary celebration back in January, we knew it was an aggressive goal, but we also knew that our employees were up to the challenge," said PRC CEO Steven Richards. "We've been deeply moved by their eagerness to help and willingness to give their time to such worthy causes that benefit our community. This is exactly what PRC Community Care is all about."
A company-wide service initiative, PRC Community Care encourages and enables PRC employees to take an active role in improving their local communities. Each month, PRC employees participate in a specific volunteer activity, raise money or collect items for donation to organizations that address homelessness, youth and family matters and provide support for U.S. soldiers serving overseas.
Organizations already benefiting from this year's program include The Children's Literacy Center, Care and Share Food Bank and the Springs Rescue Mission.
"We are so grateful for PRC's support of our 2010 winter clothing drive," said Rev. Joe Vazquez with Springs Rescue Mission. "Winter is a particularly tough time for the area's homeless population, but thanks to the support of PRC employees, we were able to provide warm clothing for many more individuals to help them survive the harsh winter temperatures."
While PRC is well on its way to meeting its 2010 goals, Steven Richards says there's still more work to be done in supporting local organizations. For its springtime program, the company plans to support Pikes Peak Family Connections for child abuse prevention activities, National Mill Dog Rescue and TESSA's battered women's shelter.
