Pratt & Whitney Wins Order to Power Up to 200 A320neo Aircraft for Wizz Air with the PurePower® Geared Turbofan™ Engines
FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW, London, July 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Wizz Air has selected Pratt & Whitney's PurePower Geared Turbofan (GTF) engines to power its order of 110 firm Airbus A320neo family aircraft with purchase rights for up to 90 more. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company.

The Pratt & Whitney PurePower Geared Turbofan engine is demonstrating mature reliability levels of approximately 99.8 percent, and has met all of its performance commitments from the start including a 16 percent reduction in fuel burn, a 75 percent decrease in the noise footprint and a 50 percent reduction in regulated emissions.
