California has led the nation in its commitment to large-scale, clean energy solutions. The state's SGIP was modified in 2011 under a California Public Utilities Commission decision making Organic Rankine Cycle/Waste Heat-to-Power systems eligible for the SGIP along with a list of other greenhouse gas-reducing solutions. The program aims to transform the energy marketplace, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and manage peak load performance.
