Pratt & Whitney Qualifies Fokker Aerostructures as a Production Source for the F135 Static Structure, Awards Follow-On Contract for Additional Work

FARNBOROUGH, England, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW -- Pratt & Whitney has completed the first article inspection of a production quality static structure for the F135 engine produced by Fokker Aerostructures, a company based in The Netherlands. In addition, Pratt & Whitney has signed a Letter of Intent with Fokker to produce F135 engine synchronizing rings. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company.
