Pratt & Whitney Launches New Comprehensive Engine Services Plan
EAST HARTFORD, Conn., July 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW -- Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE: UTX), launched a comprehensive Engine Services plan, a new engine maintenance service plan that provides customers with the highest level of maintenance support available.
"This program was developed as a result of customer feedback requesting more service offerings and new levels of support," said Matthew Bromberg, president, Pratt & Whitney Aftermarket. "This plan is especially attractive to small and mid-size airlines and lessors with little on-site engine maintenance support who need help with complicated engine maintenance requirements such as records management, engine removals and access to lease engines."
This comprehensive Engine Services plan offers customers services that surpass traditional, basic offerings. Customers with the plan will experience priority engine overhaul inductions, guaranteed response times for engine overhauls and part repairs, and embedded on-site customer support to coordinate maintenance planning needs.
To further streamline maintenance for engines covered under the comprehensive Engine Services plan, innovative material solutions, including pre-positioned line replaceable units, on-site replacement inventory and proactive life limited parts planning, where Pratt & Whitney manages all of the paperwork and trace requirements, will be available. Upgraded engine leasing options, on-site engine fleet and health management training, and data analytics programs will enable customers to reduce maintenance cost and appropriately prepare for scheduled maintenances.
Long-term fleet maintenance programs, like the comprehensive Engine Services plan, provide operators with predictable maintenance costs, optimized engine performance and increased residual value.
