Located at the Americas Tower at 1177 Avenue of the Americas, the 68,000-square-foot Conference Center will feature a state-of-the-art digital HD video and audio recording and processing equipment, iPads pre-loaded with program materials at each seat, WiFi availability in the lounge, a faculty "ready room," and an on-site business center. Live Webcasts of most programs will be broadcast from the Center, and a full staff will be available to assist seminar attendees with any questions or needs they may have through the entire day. "The move will be a tremendous development for both PLI staff and seminar attendees. Access will be easier for our customers as there will be a dedicated lobby entrance for our attendees and our new space has been designed to maximize their experience," says PLI President Victor Rubino.
Executive Vice President and Branch Manager, Ira Schuman led the brokerage team from the commercial real estate firm Studley, alongside Senior Managing Director, Howard Poretsky and Senior Managing Director, Patrick Gardner; overall project management oversight was managed by Eric Wagner and Lorenzo Vascotto at VVA Project Managers & Consultants. Global design firm, Gensler, was responsible for the design of the new space, and the team included Robin Klehr Avia, Project Principal; Bryan Bell, Project Director; EJ Lee, Design Director; and John Schweder, Project Manager. Larry Oxman of Structure Tone acted as the General Contractor. "Silverstein Properties is extremely excited to have the well-established organization, Practising Law Institute, take up residence in 1177 Avenues of the Americas," says Roger Silverstein, Executive Vice President. "We look forward to working with PLI and its customers for many years to come."
1177 Avenue of the Americas is a class A building with approximately 80,771 square feet of office space available for lease. The building lobby and exterior arcade was redesigned by Moed de Armas & Shannon Architects. The project scope included lighting and design enhancements, a modernized lobby desk and tenant signage program, and new address identification integrated into the distinctive architecture. These new features complement the lobby's soaring 45-foot ceilings, which was completed late last year.
