PRA International Safety Expert to Present at DIA

RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- PRA International, a leading Clinical Research Organization, announces that one of our senior medical directors will speak at the Drug Information Association's 7th Latin American Congress of Clinical Research being held 10-12 November 2010 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. PRA will also host an exhibit at this meeting in booth 24.

Dr. Claudia Senise, PRA's Senior Medical Director in Brazil, will host the Thursday afternoon session, "SAE Accountability: A Legal Perspective in Latin America." Dr. Senise will discuss payment issues, clinical trial obligations and other ethical perspectives involved with pharmacovigilance and SAE management.

At our booth, PRA representatives from Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs and other departments will be available to discuss expertise and experience in supporting trials in Latin America.

Based out of PRA's Sao Paulo, Brazil office, Dr. Senise is an experienced physician and medical monitor with strong connections to the Latin American medical community. Prior to moving into clinical research in 2000, she worked as an emergency and attending physician. In addition to serving as a medical director for PRA, Dr. Senise is a professor and an attending endocrinologist at a local diabetes center.
