PR Daily recognizes Pioneer Services' CSR program as best of 2012

Company honored for paid volunteer time off, financial education for military families , Mo.

KANSAS CITY, March 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Ragan's PR Daily CSR Awards look to honor those companies that, despite a down economy, have maintained or increased their commitment to giving back to their communities. More than 300 companies' corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs were reviewed and, among them, the best of the best are selected as overall winners for their company's size (either below or above 5,000 employees).

This year, Pioneer Services, a division of MidCountry Bank, was selected as the "Best CSR Leader/Company" for those companies with fewer than 5,000 team members. The company was recognized for its comprehensive financial education program as well as its community support, both volunteer and financial. Pioneer Services also received an honorable mention in the "Best Employee Volunteer Program." Specifically, the company provides all team members 16 hours (2 days) of paid volunteer time off annually to volunteer in th     eir communities, totaling more than 4,500 hours of a year. Other award recipients in other categories included Phillips North America, Intel, and Walmart.
