PowerSecure Providing Utility Restoration and Humanitarian Support to Bahamas Following Hurricane Joaquin
WAKE FOREST, N.C., Oct. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PowerSecure International, Inc. (NYSE: POWR) today announced that, at the request of the Bahamas Electricity Corporation (BEC), the company has deployed an expert utility assessment and recovery team to the Bahamas to provide advisory support to BEC to speed the restoration of power on the islands which suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Joaquin.
This team has successfully advised on and implemented utility recovery efforts following many hurricanes in the Southeastern U.S.
PowerSecure is donating the services of the utility support team and is providing humanitarian assistance to the affected islands through the Red Cross.
