PowerSecure Deploys More Than 300 Electricity Crew Members And Readies Backup Power Systems To Support Customers At Risk From Hurricane Joaquin
WAKE FOREST, N.C., Oct. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PowerSecure International, Inc. (NYSE: POWR) today announced that, in response to requests from multiple utilities in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic for utility crew support, PowerSecure has mobilized and pre-deployed more than 300 linemen, damage assessment experts and logistics support staff to assist with power restoration, if required, as Hurricane Joaquin approaches the United States.
In addition, the company's distributed generation monitoring center has begun storm mode operations, topping off fuel and successfully testing backup power systems for data center, hospital, industrial and retail customers at risk for power outages due to potential power disruptions from Hurricane Joaquin.
