CINCINNATI, May 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PowerNet Global, veteran of the telecommunications industry for more than 20 years and well known for strong business ethics, integrity, and reliability, announced achievement as a finalist for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber awards for Small Business Excellence and Community Involvement.
Per the Cincinnati Chamber's website, "Small businesses play a vital role in the economic well-being of our region. In fact, 85% of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber's members are small businesses." The Chamber Small Business Excellence awards recognize the accomplishments and innovation found in this critical segment of the Cincinnati business community.
PowerNet Global was represented in the Small Business of the Year (51-250 employees) and the Community Involvement categories, along with five other companies in each division. PowerNet Global was awarded their place in the Small Business of the Year category for company growth and achievement via their NetDialer service, which is specially designed to provide call centers with a cost effective, stable, and long-term outbound termination solution for their business.
Also recognized in the Community Involvement category, PowerNet Global was chosen for its everyday practices that include sponsoring and participating in events that give back to the community, providing financial contributions to various causes, and encouraging employees to volunteer personal time with its Charitable PTO program.
The PowerNet Global Social Committee prepares a variety of events throughout the year to help support local charities and provide employees with opportunities for fun and fellowship. Organizations that PowerNet Global have made financial contributions to or participated in/hosted special events for in 2011 include the American Heart Association, City Gospel Mission, Crayons to Computers, Fairfield Food Pantry, Focas Ministries, Jobs Plus, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, PregnancyCare of Cincinnati, Race to Unity, and many more.
"We're pleased to be recognized by the partners and peers of our community. It's an honor just to be considered for Small Business of the Year and Community Involvement alongside the other businesses of Cincinnati," said Bernie Stevens, CEO of PowerNet Global. "We work hard to be an organization that's good on the inside – to our employees, promoting corporate culture and wellness – as well as on the outside, by supporting organizations that help others."
