PowerMyLearning Wins eSchool News Ed-Tech Readers' Choice Award
CFY's free digital learning platform selected by publication's readers as a top K-12 education technology product for 2014-15
NEW YORK, Oct. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- PowerMyLearning® (www.PowerMyLearning.org) was recently named a winner of the eSchool News Readers' Choice Awards. Each year, eSchool News honors the top K-12 educational technology products and services based on nominations from educators and administrators at schools and districts across North America. This year, PowerMyLearning was selected from more than 1,300 nominations as one of 50 products that educators found most effective.
Developed by the nonprofit CFY (www.cfy.org), PowerMyLearning is an innovative free platform for personalizing instruction and inspiring student-driven learning. Students, teachers, and parents in more than 30,000 K-12 schools across the country are already using PowerMyLearning. With thousands of curated, Common Core-aligned educational activities and an innovative engine for assigning playlists, PowerMyLearning offers a flexible solution for implementing blended learning in the classroom and extending learning beyond the classroom.
When submitting nominations, educators were asked to describe how they were using the product to improve teaching, learning, or administration. Regina Hosey, a teacher in Kentucky who nominated PowerMyLearning, said this: "I make differentiated playlists for my students, which steers them to appropriate activities for whatever subject we are studying…I feel it has revolutionized educational content delivery."
"We love hearing stories from teachers like Regina who are using PowerMyLearning to personalize learning," said Elisabeth Stock, CEO and Co-Founder of CFY. "We are particularly thrilled to receive this award because it is coming from educators who are using our platform to impact students' lives."
