SEATTLE, Feb. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Peach Fuzzer, LLC, announces new enhancements to the world's leading fuzz-testing platform. This latest release enables the scrutinizing of industrial control systems (ICS) used by industrial and utility companies around the world. Firms can now uncover previously undetected flaws that would have led to zero-day attacks.
These enhancements make it even easier to deploy the Peach Fuzzer platform to sniff out and identify unknown vulnerabilities in the same systems that have recently been targets of malicious hackers. By enabling support for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) protocols, Peach Fuzzer offers a cost-effective solution for discovering unknown vulnerabilities in the components responsible for delivering power and controlling our environmental systems.
Specifically, this release includes protocol definitions ('Peach Pits') for BACnet – a communications protocol for managing HVAC and environmental systems in buildings, and DNP3 – an interoperability protocol used by electric utility and water companies for SCADA applications. Fuzz-testing ICS components with these Peach Pits is a necessary step in preventing zero-day attacks upon critical infrastructure.
We will be demonstrating our fuzzing technology between Feb 29 – Mar 4 at the RSA Conference 2016 in San Francisco at the Moscone Center booth N3220.
In addition to these improvements for the ICS community, this latest release includes support for the following protocol definitions:
ERPS – Ethernet Ring Protection Switching
SNMPv3 –Simple Network Management Protocol
SSL Cipher Suites – Secure Sockets Layer, Transport Layer Security
CAN bus – Controller Area Network
