Power Home Remodeling™ Named One of the Top 10 Best Places to Work by Glassdoor
Positive employee feedback lands company on list for second consecutive year
CHESTER, Pa., Dec. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Power Home Remodeling, the nation's second largest exterior home remodeler, was ranked No. 10 out of 50 companies on Glassdoor's Best Places to Work 2017 list in their annual Employees' Choice Awards — based entirely on positive employee feedback. Glassdoor's annual Employees' Choice Awards, now in its ninth year, relies solely on the input of employees who provide feedback on their jobs, work environments and companies.
Climbing five spots this year, Power employees cited perks including high earnings potential; unique workplace culture; ample opportunities for growth; the people they work with; a smart leadership team; and Power's robust events platform as reasons why the company should be recognized as a top workplace. Within their Glassdoor review, one of Power's employees stated "they wouldn't want to be anywhere else," while another employee said that Power is "an amazing company with a clear career path."
"We are immensely proud of this recognition because it comes from the unsolicited feedback of our employees — and their opinion is what matters most to us. At Power, our clearly expressed number one priority, ahead of revenue and profitability, is increasing the happiness of our employees," said Asher Raphael, Power's Co-Chief Executive Officer. "As one of the top workplaces in the country for millennials, we know the importance they place on transparency and having a voice, and we remain dedicated to creating an open culture and providing ample opportunities where our employees can impact the direction of the company."
Power employees are provided with ongoing opportunities for growth in the form of leadership conferences across the country, frequent opportunities to meet and socialize with senior leadership and a personal mentor to help guide them to dream big. Power's robust social program filled with can't-miss events and an annual company-paid trip to Mexico also gives employees a chance to develop a lasting camaraderie with their colleagues to bring their experience full circle. Additionally, Power is dedicated to several mission-driven initiatives, including its partnership with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation — raising more than $1 million as the direct result of outstanding employee engagement and action. The company also recently launched the Power Veterans Initiative — a one-of-its-kind recruitment program specifically for millennial military veterans with a focus on changing the national veteran narrative from one of distress to one of pride by spotlighting veterans' unparalleled leadership skills and their desire to seek out companies where they will have the opportunity to lead.
This award marks Power's sixth recognition in 2016 alone related to the company's remarkable workplace culture — and based solely on employee feedback. Earlier this year, Power was named one of the Best 100 Companies and a top workplace for millennials by Fortune and Great Place to Work®, and the company's co-CEOs ranked No. 25 on Glassdoor's list of Highest Rated CEOs.
"Company culture and the employee experience are critical considerations for job seekers everywhere when deciding where to work. To help, the Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards recognize companies that truly stand out as Best Places to Work because they're purely determined by the authentic voice of those who really know a company best — the employees," said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder. "Employers where employees love to work continue to prove that they have a recruiting and business performance edge. We're proud to celebrate the 2017 Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards winners in earning this incredible achievement."
Glassdoor's Best Places to Work list is determined using company reviews shared by U.S.-based employees between Nov. 2, 2015, and Oct. 30, 2016. To be considered for the large category, a company must have at least 1,000 or more employees and have received at least 75 company reviews from U.S.-based employees during the period of eligibility. The final list is compiled based on Glassdoor's proprietary algorithm, and takes into account quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.
