Power Home Remodeling Group™ Named 2015 Top Midsized Company by The Philadelphia Inquirer
Marks Second Year Power Has Been Named #1 on the "Top Workplaces" List
CHESTER, Pa., March 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Power Home Remodeling Group, the nation's second largest exterior home remodeler, has been named No. 1 on The Philadelphia Inquirer's "Top Workplaces 2015" list in the midsized company category (between 150 and 500 employees in the region). This marks the fourth time Power has been named to the "Top Workplaces" list — and the second time the company has received the No. 1 distinction in the past five years. The annual list identifies leading workplaces in the Philadelphia area based on the opinions of employees.
More than 50 percent of Power's 431 locally based employees completed a detailed questionnaire about their job, management and work environment. Employees cited the company's explosive growth and opportunities for career advancement; training and leadership development tools; unique workplace culture/atmosphere; and a positive management team that acknowledges and rewards outstanding employee performance as reasons why Power should be once again named Philadelphia's No. 1 midsized employer.
"We are honored to receive this recognition, as our top priority remains to make Power a company our employees can be proud to work for," said Asher Raphael, Power's co-chief executive officer. "The most frequently asked question we hear is 'What is the secret to your success?' The answer is simple — finding the best human capital out there and building a business around their strengths. At Power, we strive to create a culture and environment that our employees love, and we also make sure they realize we are committed to building a business of equal character, and that everything we do is for them."
Power's entrepreneurial business model incentivizes employees with highly competitive salaries, performance-based rewards and ongoing incentives, such as luxury vacations and high-end gifts. Employees are also provided ongoing opportunities for growth in the form of leadership conferences across the country featuring celebrities and high-profile speakers in entertainment, sports, business and government, frequent opportunities to meet and socialize with senior leadership and a personal mentor to help guide, support and challenge them to achieve more. Additionally, Power's inclusive social program filled with can't-miss events and an annual company-paid trip to Mexico gives employees a chance to develop a lasting camaraderie with their colleagues to bring their experience full circle.
The Philadelphia Inquirer "Top Workplaces" list is coordinated in partnership with WorkplaceDynamics, and in 2015, they surveyed more than 35,000 employees and recognized 100 companies and organizations in the Philadelphia area. These companies are recognized based solely on the results of employee surveys that indicate engagement levels, confidence in their leadership teams, workplace flexibility, and overall satisfaction — demonstrating they are more likely to be successful from an employee engagement and productivity standpoint than other organizations.
