Poultry farms among dozens of commercial and residential properties to sell at auction
ATLANTA, Oct. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A poultry farm in Georgia's Gilmer County, a waterfront chalet on Lake Chatuge and residential development land in Benton, Tenn., will be part of a lineup of dozens of bank-owned properties in four states set to sell in a John Dixon & Associates auction Tuesday, Nov. 12.
The poultry farm in Elijay – approximately 58.8 acres – has facilities totaling 180,818 square feet. "This is really a very nice farm that has spectacular views and has no reserve. It is going to be a great opportunity for someone," said John Dixon, president of the auction company. Also selling in Elijay is a commercial property with six office/retail suites.
The waterfront chalet is part of the Chatuge Heights development on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, Ga.
The lineup also includes 822 acres in the Preserve at Bean Mountain in Benton, Tenn. "This is a really gorgeous part of the country, and I have to think builders with land there will be in a strong position to take advantage of the growth we're continuing to see," said Dixon.
Other properties include a restaurant/bar/hotel in Copperhill, Tenn., and commercial and residential properties clustered near the state lines in Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. "We also have a number of properties along the I-20 Corridor west of Atlanta, including some in Alabama," said Dixon.
The auction will begin at 11 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Suites North, 299 Windy Hill Road, in Marietta. Individuals seeking additional information may visit www.johndixon.com or call 800-479-1763. Online bidding will be available during the auction.
