BUFFALO, N.Y., May 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- PostProcess Technologies, the only provider of automated and intelligent post-processing solutions for 3D printed parts, announced the company has received verification as a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs. As a Veteran-Owned Small Business, PostProcess is eligible to participate in the Veteran First Contracting Program – a program that provides unique opportunities to work with government agencies.
PostProcess Founder, President and Chief Technology Officer, Daniel J. Hutchinson, served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Navy Reserve. Hutchinson has been twice distinguished as the Sailor of the Year, an honor that has taken him to the White House. Hutchinson received the award both as an Active and Reserve sailor, in 2001 and 2007, respectively. After leaving the Navy, Hutchinson joined Northrop Grumman and focused on the development of signal analysis equipment prior to founding PostProcess. Hutchinson leveraged his training in radar interrogation and signal analysis to develop PostProcess's patent-pending technology and the vision to solve the multiple challenges associated with the post-printing of 3D parts.
"This VOSB verification enables PostProcess to have greater access to government agencies that are driving leading edge developments in advanced manufacturing," said Daniel. "I am proud to be able to bring the comprehensive technology solutions of PostProcess to the government, armed forces, defense contractors and Universities that further enhance the fleet readiness of our military."
"We have been a customer of PostProcess Technologies since 2014," said Jack Graham, principal mechanical engineer of additive manufacturing, Raytheon Company. "We are proud to hear about the Veteran-Owner verification and the exciting growth of PostProcess."
Daniel is a Buffalo native and holds multiple engineering degrees (E.E., M.E., C.S.), as well an MBA.
