New Episode of Emmy Award-Winning CBS Reality Series to be broadcast Friday, Dec. 7
DENVER, Nov. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Since founding PostNet in 1993, CEO Steve Greenbaum has worked tirelessly to evolve the franchise from its origins as a mail and parcel store to a full-on Neighborhood Business Center, providing small business owners with relevant services and supporting economic growth in communities across the country. His journey to get a behind-the-scenes look at how that evolution is playing out in the PostNet franchise centers will unfold on the hit CBS series "Undercover Boss," airing on the CBS Television Network on Friday, Dec. 7 (8 pm/7c).

"Going undercover gave me an unprecedented opportunity to get a sense of how the decisions we've made at the executive level have affected our franchise owners, employees and customers," Greenbaum said. "I came away with an incredible sense of pride in our company and a renewed appreciation for those on the front lines of our business every day. It was an exhilarating and humbling experience, both personally and professionally."
With more than 700 locations worldwide, PostNet has carved a niche as the nation's first and only Neighborhood Business Center. Greenbaum, along with co-founder Brian Spindel, built the PostNet franchise system from the ground up and have remained intimately involved in all aspects of the company's operations. The two longtime friends and business partners spearheaded the evolved franchise model, which involved in-depth training of hundreds of PostNet franchise owners to meet the unique needs of start-ups and growing businesses, such as multi-channel marketing campaigns and web design.
On the episode, Greenbaum, disguised as a longhaired, former motorcycle shop owner named "Brad," worked in PostNet centers around the country in a variety of tasks, ranging from designing marketing collateral to outside sales and marketing of PostNet's services to local business owners. Along the way, Greenbaum hears the personal struggles of employees, and the challenges faced by some franchisees that aren't following the new Neighborhood Business Center model.
Each week, the Emmy Award-winning "Undercover Boss," now in its fourth season, follows a different executive as they leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their companies. While working alongside their employees, they witness how their decisions affect others, where the problems lie within their organizations, and get an up-close look at the good and the bad while discovering and rewarding the unsung heroes who make their companies run.
