As for the winners and losers in Wednesday night's debate, over 1,500 registered Republicans were asked, "Who do you think won the debate?" Republicans across the United States pick Donald Trump as the winner with 26.7 percent of the vote followed by Senator Marco Rubio, taking second place, at 21.1 percent. Senator Ted Cruz finishes in third place with 17.3 percent of the vote.
When asked, "Who to you think lost the debate?" polled voters put former Governor Jeb Bush on top with 26.2 percent of the vote, closely followed by Senator Rand Paul at 24.2%. John Kasich received 15.0 percent of the responses.
According to Robert Herring, Sr., CEO of One America News Network, "One America News' national post-debate poll shows Mr. Trump won the debate. Dr. Ben Carson and Senator Marco Rubio also had a strong evening. Senator Rubio picked up nearly four percent over our national pre-debate poll released on Monday."
Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted the random survey of 1,504 registered Republican voters in the U.S. regarding the presidential election exclusively for One America News Network. The poll has a margin of error of ± 2.5%. The total may not round to 100% because of rounding. The polls were conducted using automated telephone calls (IVR technology) and weighted by voting demographics.
