Global Communications Leader Adds Key New Hires to Brand Marketing, Strategic Planning, Digital Strategy and Social Media Teams
NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Global public relations leader Porter Novelli announced today the addition of five respected communications professionals to the agency's brand marketing, strategic planning, digital strategy and social media teams. Julie Ann Matic joins as vice president on the Procter & Gamble business; Alan Marcus will serve as senior vice president on the Monster Worldwide business; Loretta Markevics joins as senior vice president, planning; John Normoyle joins as a digital strategist; and Izzy Forman joins as director, national blogger relations.

- Julie Ann Matic, vice president on Procter & Gamble, has a career rooted in developing successful integrated marketing communication plans for category leaders in consumer packaged goods, consumer electronics and emerging technologies. Before coming to Porter Novelli, she was assistant vice president at Coyne PR, where she managed such accounts as Casio America, Inc., Kraft Foods, and Experian Consumer Direct.
- Alan Marcus, senior vice president on Monster Worldwide, brings more than 15 years of public relations experience to the agency. Prior to joining Porter Novelli, Marcus served as vice president at MWW Group, where he managed PR and media strategies for Volkswagen Group of America. Before that he was a vice president at Ketchum in New York, where he developed strategic marketing communications campaigns for Cadbury North America and Dr. Pepper Snapple Group.
- Loretta Markevics, senior vice president, strategic planning and research, draws from more than 12 years of strategic planning experience. Before Porter Novelli, Markevics served as senior vice president, senior strategic planner at McCann Erickson working on clients including Black & Decker, Dentyne and Pfizer. She was also a partner at G2 Branding and Design, a division of Grey Global Group, where she headed up integrated strategic planning, including shopper marketing, for clients including Procter & Gamble and the Absolut Spirits Company. During her career, she also has handled planning responsibilities for a number of brands for Diageo, Dannon and Church & Dwight.
- John Normoyle, digital strategist, previously served as the digital new media manager for the Clinton Foundation in New York, where he managed digital operations including social media strategy, website design, content development and online fundraising campaigns. He also supported recruitment strategies and worked across programs such as HIV/AIDS, climate change, childhood obesity, the Clinton Global Initiative and the Clinton Presidential Center.
- Izzy Forman, director, national blogger relations, joins Porter Novelli from 360i, where she headed up blogger communications and was instrumental in forging significant relationships with highly respected bloggers on behalf of her former clients and her former agency, among them The Huffington Post, Gawker Media and Pop Candy. Her blogger expertise spans mommy, personal health/wellness, food/spirits, personal technology and celebrity/entertainment categories.
