POP Launches POPin 2.0 Crowdsourcing App
Leadership Tool Helps Companies Drive Continuous Alignment with Employees, Partners and Customers
IRVINE, Calif., May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- POP today released POPin 2.0, a leadership tool that facilitates engagement among internal teams, partners and customers to help drive engagement, innovation and execution. The mobile app is used to generate 'buy in' from all of a company's critical resources (employees, partners and/or customers) by making them an accomplice to the company's master plan, for improved initiative success rates.
The mobile-first enterprise grade platform helps leaders solicit feedback from large groups by hosting a productive online discussion, and then setting shared priorities to resolve problems across a range of management issues. The format results in highly motivated and better-aligned teams, as well as healthier, more engaged organizations. POPin also eliminates an "us vs. them" thought process that often drives apathy in corporations.
Many organizations have adopted POPin, including CoreLogic, Comcast, DirecTV, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, IQNavigator, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
CoreLogic, a leading global property information, analytics and data-enabled services provider, recently deployed POPin to help align hundreds of app developers that were siloed across many sites nationwide as a result of multiple acquisitions.
"POPin enabled us to leverage the knowledge of people in disparate locations throughout the company to uncover ideas we needed to improve business productivity and engagement," said Robin Gordon, chief data officer for CoreLogic. "With POPin, we were able to create a fundamentally new way to engage with employees that was more fun and interactive than we ever thought possible. Through POPin we were able to derive tangible business results by implementing specific changes to our infrastructure and products."
POPin 2.0 adds several new features including a streamlined user interface that's fun and engaging, dynamic infographics that provide users with a visual depiction of what's popular and trending, and a native application that takes advantage of many iOS 8 capabilities for added speed and responsiveness. POPin users can access several different data views to understand which ideas are most popular, and which topics are trending at any given time.
The latest user functions position POPin in an emerging industry category dubbed "Initiative Success Management (ISM)", which combines elements of staff alignment, enterprise social, survey, and ideation software, according to Hayes Drumwright, founder and CEO of POP.
"The POPin crowdsourcing platform has been successfully deployed in more than 150 sessions by dozens of companies of every size, from small startups to large global corporations," Drumwright said. "We have consistently found that all types of executive leaders can benefit from Initiative Success Management to troubleshoot their problems and motivate their teams."
The POPin mobile app is available for download from the Apple App Store for iOS smartphones, and for Android and Web-based devices.
