MIAMI, June 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Pollo Tropical furthers its presence in Texas with two new restaurants coming to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. A Watauga location will open June 10 at 7304 Denton Highway, followed by a Hurst opening July 1 at 1495 Precinct Line Road. Since making its Texas debut in Addison last March, the fast-casual concept has launched more than 15 restaurants statewide, deepening its roots in the home state of its Addison-based parent company, Fiesta Restaurant Group Inc.
Both restaurants will boast the Caribbean-style design that incorporates bright island colors and details to help guests soak up the feel of a shoreside retreat while enjoying handmade, island-inspired cuisine. The Watauga location will host a grand opening celebration from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 19, and the Hurst opening event will be on July 3. Both will feature calypso music and prizes, and the Watauga location will host a robosurfer challenge where contestants will compete for first- and second-place prizes of $500 and $300 to go to their favorite charity. At each location, one lucky guest will win Free Chicken for a Year* and the first 100 guests will receive a coupon for a free Create Your Own Family Meal, redeemable on a future visit.

Pollo Tropical's menu centers on its signature citrus-marinated grilled chicken and also includes Mojo Roast Pork, Calypso Beef, Grilled Tropical Wings and made-from-scratch sides like rice, beans, yuca and sweet plantains. The Tropical Lite menu offers guests tasty, lighter options ranging from 340 to 510 calories that are built around the core Caribbean flavors of the Pollo Tropical menu.
At Pollo Tropical, savory island spices, herbs and citrus juices are blended into rubs and marinades that enhance the flavors of the fresh dishes. The famous Saucing Island® brings on the flavor – and a little heat – with 10 signature sauces including Curry Mustard, Guava BBQ, Pineapple Rum, Cilantro Garlic and Spicy Poyo-Poyo.
To complement its menu, Pollo Tropical also offers a variety of island-inspired beverages, ranging from Caribbean beers to coconut water and popular Refrescas in tropical breeze and mango peach flavors. The 3,400-square-foot restaurants will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, and both will feature indoor and outdoor seating for more than 90 guests, with limited table service and a convenient drive-thru.
