Pollo Tropical® Continues Houston-Area Expansion

MIAMI, Oct. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Pollo Tropical, Florida's beloved fast-casual concept known for its citrus-marinated, flame-grilled chicken and array of authentic sauces and sides, continues its Texas expansion with the opening of its second Houston-area location in Tomball this October. The restaurant's grand opening celebration kicks off at 10 a.m. on Oct. 17, with festivities that include calypso music, a proclamation by local officials and a tropical-themed relay challenge where contestants will compete for first and second place prizes of $1,000 and $500 for their favorite charity. One lucky guest will win Free Chicken for a Year*, and the first 100 guests will receive a coupon for a free Create Your Own Family Meal, redeemable on a future visit.

In July, Pollo Tropical opened its first Houston-area restaurant in Pearland to rave reviews. It plans to open five more in Texas by the end of 2014, including one more in Houston. As with the Pollo Tropical in Pearland, the Tomball location will be ideally situated in a bustling community that offers a wide variety of dining options—though none like Pollo Tropical.
