LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Politicon, the non-partisan "Unconventional Political Convention" announced Alyssa Milano, Henry Winkler, Carter Page, Candace Owens and Lou Diamond Phillips will be speaking at this year's Politicon and cable news outlet, MSNBC, will be serving as an official media partner of the upcoming convention taking place October 20-21 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
MSNBC will take over a main stage in Politicon's Democracy Village to host live programming, interactive fan experiences and more. In Democracy Village, fans will have the opportunity to meet some of their favorite MSNBC stars, check out interactive photo opportunities, grab a custom-made tote bag from the MSNBC print press, snag a cup of "Morning Joe" coffee, register to vote with HeadCount and more. Actress and activist Alyssa Milano will be participating in two panels on Sunday, October 21, one titled "The Time Is Now: #TimesUp and Beyond" where she will be discussing her work in the #TimesUp and #metoo movement and the second, "#Enough," that will focus on her work with #NoRA and the role of guns in our society
Actor Henry Winkler, who recently won an EMMY for his role in "Barry," will interview counter-terrorism and intelligence consultant Malcolm Nance on Sunday, Oct. 21 for an in-depth conversation entitled, "The Russian Menace," that will cover contemporary Russian relations, their role in American politics, and threats to our elections.
Former President Trump Aide Carter Page will be interviewed by RT America host Scottie Nell Hughes in a talk titled "Sex, Spies and Videotape: Russian Hysteria in Context" where he will give the inside story of his experience of being suspected by the FBI of acting as a foreign agent to Russia.
Actor Lou Diamond Phillips will appear on Sunday as part of the panel "AAPI: Crazy Political Asians" alongside Richard Lui, Speaker Anthony Rendon, Brad Jenkins, Gautam Raghavan and John Chiang to talk about the role identity politics has in gaining political power.
