Troy Love is back on his bike, raising funds to bring the Gospel to the world through solar-powered Audio Bibles
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., May 7, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) first developed the Proclaimer, a solar-powered digital playback device, in 2004. It was designed so that poor and illiterate people around the world would have access to God's Word in their own heart language. Troy Love, who first heard of the Proclaimer during a presentation at his church in 2010, was so moved by this powerful ministry tool that he decided to raise funds and awareness for FCBH listening groups by riding his bike across the country. On September 14, 2010, he completed his six week journey that took him from San Francisco, California to Yorktown, Virginia. Now he's back – this time pedaling from Key West, Florida to Bar Harbor, Maine.

Love, a police officer from Columbus, Indiana, is seeking to raise $157,000 – which would cover the cost to establish 1,000 Faith Comes By Hearing listening groups. His first ride generated over $67,000 and he is now determined to raise the remaining $90,000 to meet the overall goal. He and the ministry share the common passion of bringing the Word of God to every nation, tribe, village and tongue.
"This is the Great Commission. It is what we as believers are all called to do," says Love. "I am truly humbled that God would allow me to be used for His work."
The Marine Corps veteran will travel the south-to-north route through 11 East Coast states from May 31 to July 2. Some of the stops on the journey include Miami (FL), Statesboro (GA), Wilmington (NC), Williamsburg (VA), Montgomery (NY), and Nashua (NH).
Love is scheduled to speak at a number of churches along the way and is scheduling more appearances. Interviews and appearances can be scheduled by contacting Troy directly at (812) 371-5978 or [email protected].
As Faith Comes By Hearing celebrates their 40th year anniversary throughout 2012, the ministry remains focused on providing God's Word in an audio format to every nation, tribe, village and tongue. They currently have Audio Scriptures in 648 languages that can be freely accessed on their website, via podcasts in their iTunes store, or on their free Bible app known as Bible.is.
