Polaroid Announces Milestone 2011 CES Program
Polaroid's CES Lineup Celebrates Its Roots and Resurgence as Innovator, Cultural Icon and the Magic of the Polaroid Instant Experience
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As buzz for the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) begins to take over Las Vegas, Polaroid today announced the program for its activities, announcements and appearances that will take place at the Polaroid booth during the show. Product Announcements
On Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. PST, Polaroid will make a pivotal announcement around its latest product line. A year in the making, Polaroid Grey Label is a collaboration between two of the most influential icons of our time, Polaroid and Lady Gaga. The announcement connects Polaroid's origins of instant photo printing to the digital future.
Polaroid will reveal Polaroid Grey Label at the Polaroid booth, located in the Las Vegas Convention Center's Central Hall, #13616. A highlight of CES, Polaroid's CES announcement will be simulcast via www.polaroid.com.
Polaroid Booth
Polaroid's CES booth showcases its mission to bring the legendary Polaroid experience to a new generation of consumers. The experience at Polaroid's booth was designed with everyone in mind –fans of Polaroid, artists and consumers. From stunning projections showcasing the art and innovation of the brand's past, present and future to hands-on demonstrations of new products, the booth brings to life Polaroid's core values of simplicity, creativity, sharing and authenticity.
Chase Jarvis
Acclaimed photographer, author and artistic force Chase Jarvis will host an interactive creative session at the Polaroid booth on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. PST. Jarvis will join Polaroid fans and photographers for a discussion about creative collaboration and sharing in both the physical and digital worlds. Chase's Presentation and Q&A will be simulcast live via www.polaroid.com.
Katie Linendoll
Official Polaroid product spokesperson and tech expert Katie Linendoll will be at the Polaroid booth from January 6 – 8, 2011. Katie will give an overview of Polaroid's new product portfolio throughout the show, live on the Polaroid stage. Personifying all things fun, modern and innovative in the tech world, Katie is a blogger, Emmy nominated technology host and contributes to several networks.
Creative Presentations
On Friday, January 7, 2011, professional photographers from many different genres and backgrounds will be leading "Creativity Classes" at the Polaroid booth, presenting ways they express their creativity through photography and what Polaroid means to them as an artist. Photographers include:
- 11:30 a.m. PST: Tim Tadder, an advertising photographer known for creating dramatic photographs of people, sports, action and concepts, will share his personal creative experiences, ranging from high-pressure photo shoots with cutting-edge digital capture technology, to the freedom of simplicity and originality he finds when using Polaroid products.
- 3:30 p.m. PST: Shawn Brackbill, a Brooklyn-based fashion and portrait photographer for top designers, record companies and magazines, will share his inspiration in using Polaroid products for images that are both unexpected and completely unique.
- 5:30 p.m. PST: Jim McHugh, famous for his recent large format Polaroid prints of Los Angeles, will present on his experience over the past 30 years photographing common things in an uncommon manner. McHugh has been a contributing photographer to People Magazine, the official photographer for the Grammy Awards and is currently on the masthead of Architectural Digest.
