SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Polaris Office announced that the number of its global users exceeded 30 million in 19 months since its launch.
Earlier this year, Polaris Office had recorded 10 million users. The remarkable high-growth is comparable to Evernote's growth of 1.7 million subscribers during the same post-launch period.
This year, Polaris Office achieved performance alike Microsoft and Dropbox, and it also acquired twice more users than the Evernote.
In addition to its record high growth, data shows the global reach of the application. 92% of the 30 million users are outside of Korea with 45% of this figure showing use in the US, Japan, UK, and Germany.
Moreover, Polaris Office is ranked third in the combined iOS and Android's business category, and top among Microsoft Office applications. It also maintains upper rank in the productivity category along with other global services such as Microsoft Excel, Evernote and Dropbox based on January – September 2015 data.
"PC Office will be launched early next year, truly supporting an integrated cloud office system for smartphone, tablet PC, and PC use," said CMO John J. Lee, Director of Polaris Office. "With the new release, we look forward to reaching the 100 million global users mark."
