Polar Wireless Successfully Completes Migration of Global Data Center to Bell Canada Data Center
TORONTO, April 20 /PRNewswire/ - Polar Wireless Corp. (OTC/BB, Frankfurt:62o) has completed an important part of its system build-out with the successful migration of its Global Data Center to the Bell Canada Data Center, a world class SAS70 and CICA5900 installation backed by a robust, secure and highly reliable network. This includes advanced monitoring systems, leading edge hosting solutions and development of next generation solutions such as cloud computing.
The Polar Wireless platform was initially developed in Russia and migrated to the company's Richmond Hill center for further development and testing in over 30 countries. This migration to the Bell Canada center will provide Polar Wireless with the long term ability to effectively manage up to 1 million users for their voice, data and SMS requirements. The center will also serve as host to the company's secondary sites such as Moscow and Frankfurt.
The Russian market has been selected for a pilot launch of the new mobile service because it is a fast developing market which displays mobile usage patterns similar to active mobile users in other parts of the world. An initial shipment of 15,000 chip set units has been made to distribution partners in preparation for the first stage of this limited launch.
