Miller submitted her letter of resignation to West Point Military Academy last month. While she ranked ninth in her class, Miller revealed she is a lesbian and resigned due to the military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy. She has since gained media attention, including being interviewed twice by Rachel Maddow on her MSNBC TV show. Earlier this month, Miller escorted singer Lady Gaga to the MTV Video Awards in Los Angeles.
